ABOUT
I’m the human behind Blissful Being, and I believe some of the most meaningful practices are the ones that help us be a little more present for the life we’re actually living.
My work brings together sound, Kundalini yoga, Reiki, meditation and intentional gathering, but underneath all of it is something much simpler: creating space to slow down, get out of our heads and feel more connected.
I’m also very much a student of all of this. Curious, always learning, occasionally swearing, probably crying over a song, and still practising right alongside the people I share this work with.
I’m originally from Newfoundland and now live on Vancouver Island, where the ocean has somehow become one of the places that grounds me most and terrifies me at exactly the same time. 😂
I’m an early morning person, a lover of music, movement, oracle decks, long walks, good conversations and dancing whenever the mood strikes. I laugh a lot, cry ridiculously easily when a song gets me, and will probably always have another training, book or practice I’m curious about.
Blissful Being has grown alongside my own life and practice, and so much of what I share is shaped by lived experience too. Grief, loss, fear, change, joy, uncertainty and the seasons of life that have asked me to find my footing again have all influenced how I show up in this work. I’m not teaching any of it from a distance. I’m in it too.
I’m a forever student, and I care deeply about creating experiences that feel human, accessible and meaningful rather than perfect or performative.
I’m a 250-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, trained in Vinyasa Flow with a Kundalini immersion. Breath, movement, mantra, meditation and stillness are some of the tools I return to again and again, both personally and in what I share.
I’m a Reiki Master trained in Usui Holy Fire® Reiki. Reiki has become part of both my personal practice and my work with others, offered on its own and woven into sound sessions, space blessings and other experiences.
At the heart of my sound work are my quartz crystal singing bowls, alongside rattles, chimes, drums and other instruments. I use sound and vibration to create immersive experiences for rest, reflection and connection, both on its own and woven into Reiki, meditation and movement.
I’m a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, with meditation at the heart of much of my personal practice and teaching. I’m especially interested in making these practices usable in actual life.
I’m not interested in creating spaces where you have to show up a certain way or already know what you’re doing.
You can expect warmth, curiosity, humour and plenty of room to be human. I’ll meet you where you are, whether we’re working with sound, Reiki, movement, meditation or simply having a conversation before we begin.
I’ll bring my training, my experience and the practices I trust, but I’ll also pay attention to the person in front of me. There is no one-size-fits-all version of this work.
More than anything, I want you to feel comfortable enough to have your own experience, whatever that looks like that day
